November 25, 2012: A Curious BirthdayTomorrow is the first anniversary of the launch of everyone's favorite nuclear-powered Mars rover -- Curiosity! A year ago today, Curiosity rocketed out of Cape Canaveral, FL on its way to explore the Red Planet. Armed with the latest in digital recording devices NASA has to offer, the rover has been sending a steady stream of fascinating photography back to us since landing in the Gale Crater on August 5th of this year. For Curiosity's birthday, you can follow her exploits under @MarsCuriosity on Twitter and perhaps play a few celebratory games of Star Munchkin! Share this post! |
