Known Bugs
Updated 4-25-2006We know about these bugs, so you don't need to report them. If you notice a new bug, please send mail about it to kira@sjgames.com. Be sure that UltraCorps is in the title of your mail.
- Production Estimate Says "0" when "1" will be built. There's a math problem with the production estimator (that shows the green and yellow numbers next to your prodq). If you're building >1 unit, and are partially completed with it this turn, and will complete at least one unit on the next tick, the estimator still shows 0.
- Firepower Doesn't Add Up - This is our most commonly reported bug. It's not a bug :-) A fleet is more effective than its separated units, and a fleet's firepower is greater than that of its components. See Firepower for more details.
- Broken Map Images - Also not actually a bug. If you're getting broken maps, your browser is caching old pages. Please adjust your browser to check the page on the server every time.
- Licenses Require Population - Although licenses aren't supposed to have any CPX, if you put a license at the end of your queue and all your population has already been used up in building, the license will not be bought. This is related to the need to make "zero lock" licenses work the way they used to, so the license cost gets locked in even though work is not started. Priority: high.
- Art Bugs - The X-8 does not have an illustration, and the Blood 99 Turret and N-Class v3 use the same illustration. Priority: low.
Docco Issues
If you see a problem with the online help files, please report it to sj@sjgames.com. Here is one we know about:
- Downloadable PDF - There is not yet a downloadable version of the rules. We will do that when we lock features for launch and finish the new screenshots. Priority: medium.
Deleted Features
Not bugs . . . These are features of version 1.0 that haven't been coded into the current version 1.5, and some may never be.
- Newsgroups - Not set up yet. The forums serve a similar purpose for mega-games, and all players can write Headlines in PUB games, so it's not urgent. Priority: medium-low.
- Universal Map - Not set up yet. But if you zoom all the way out on the regular map, the whole universe can be seen in every test game so far. Priority: very low.
- Fleet Paths on Map - In version 1.0 of the game, fleet deployments from a given world were visible as dashed lines when that world is selected on the map. This has not been implemented in 1.5. Priority: very low, unless a lot of players indicate that this really bothers them, because the improved and sortable Show All Fleets page gives a much more detailed way to get this information.
