Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe Party Turns Up the Steam

AUSTIN, Texas (August 7, 2015) – Steve Jackson Games is partnering with Austin game store Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy (2438 W Anderson Lane, Austin, TX) to kick off their most exciting launch event to date. On Thursday, August 13, 5-9 p.m., Dragon's Lair will be transformed into a whirlwind of Munchkin and steampunk, featuring:

  • Signings with Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe designer Steve Jackson and Andrew Hackard, Munchkin Line Editor – bring a game or piece of Munchkin memorabilia for them to sign!
  • Demos of Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe.
  • An eBay auction with proceeds benefiting Superhero Kids, a charity which supports the Children's Blood & Cancer Center at Dell's Children's Hospital.
  • DJ and steampunk cosplayer, DJ Crescendoll, and other local cosplay luminaries, along with steampunk-themed refreshments from Blue Note Bakery.

Steve Jackson Games staffers will be in costume, and guests are encouraged to dress up in their steampunk-y best. Those who do will receive a gift. There will be Munchkin promos galore!

Fans not in Austin can join in the fun through our live stream event: (http://bit.ly/SteampunkLIVE). Fans can also participate via social media, using the hashtags #munchkinsteampunk #costume, for a chance to win one of three copies of Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe.

"We are super excited about partnering with Superhero Kids," said Brian Engard, Marketing Director at Steve Jackson Games, "It's a fantastic cause. Local people should come out to the party. We're going to have a jolly time!"
